Candidates must have significant experience designing and operating Kubernetes clusters and workloads in production. They should also possess hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform. Programming or scripting ability in Python, Go, Rust, or Bash is required, along with excellent communication skills and experience working asynchronously on a fully remote, distributed team. Experience building or running multi-tenant Kubernetes platforms at scale, deep expertise in Kubernetes internals, troubleshooting, or performance tuning, prior experience with networking, service meshes, or container security, and experience operating infrastructure across multiple clouds are considered advantageous.
The Senior Infrastructure Engineer will design, operate, and scale Kubernetes-based compute infrastructure across multiple tenancy models and public clouds (AWS, Azure, and GCP). They will deepen the team's Kubernetes and container orchestration expertise to enhance platform scalability, security, and developer experience. This role involves partnering with Architecture, Release Engineering, and Security teams to provide a seamless platform for application teams, leveraging tools such as Terraform, Kubernetes, Helm, Argo CD, Python, Go, Bash, and Datadog. Additionally, the engineer will participate in an on-call rotation to improve reliability and reduce operational toil.
