Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering field
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship for employment visas)
  • Willingness to travel, including internationally, up to 10% of time
  • Typically 5+ years of experience in hardware electrical engineering (preferred)
  • Master's Degree (preferred)
  • Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout software (preferred)
  • Knowledge of Power Electronics or control hardware development (preferred)
  • Knowledge of Industrial Automation applications including servo drives and motors (preferred)
  • Experience with product life cycle management tools (e.g., SAP, Windchill) (preferred)
  • Experience with design for manufacturing (preferred)
  • Experience with product testing (e.g., EMC) and troubleshooting (preferred)
  • Knowledge of functional safety (preferred)
  • Experience with continuous improvement tools (preferred)
  • Knowledge of product certification (e.g., UL) (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Develop and test electrical systems and components
  • Design and maintain electrical schematics, BOMs, and other documentation
  • Discover alternate electronic components to achieve cost reduction or address component obsolescence, ensuring uninterrupted production and product performance
  • Support supplier evaluation and respond to technical queries, working with procurement and quality teams to resolve component or process issues
  • Develop hardware test plans per product requirements
  • Lead hardware testing and validation following established test plans, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure products meet quality and performance standards
  • Lead failure analysis, root cause investigations, and corrective action processes
