Requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, with at least 4 years of accounting experience. A working understanding of GAAP, proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), and the ability to manipulate and manage large datasets are essential. Experience in Big 4 public accounting or corporate accounting, particularly in the tech industry, is a plus, as is progress towards a CA designation or familiarity with Netsuite, Salesforce, Blackline, Coupa, Concur, and Tableau.

Responsibilities

The Senior GL Accountant will participate in various accounting functions, including preparing reconciliations, account analysis, and month-end journal entries for accounts such as Cash, Fixed Assets, Capitalized Software, Accrued Publisher Fees, and Leases. Responsibilities include assisting with subledger to G/L reconciliations, managing intercompany transactions, and supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes. The role also involves assisting in the implementation of accounting policies and procedures, designing and implementing internal controls, working with independent auditors, manipulating and reconciling large data volumes in Excel, and assisting in external financial reporting processes and special projects.
