Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in game development, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality systems
  • A true generalist—comfortable diving into a wide variety of technical challenges
  • Strong proficiency in C++
  • A collaborative mindset and a problem-solving attitude
  • Experience with Unreal Engine 5 is a strong plus

Responsibilities

  • Deliver systems: Write, refactor, and optimize C++ code for a wide range of systems, from game flow and player archives to platform-specific implementations and tooling
  • Fix bugs: Address bugs and other issues introduced in a live game as a service where features are continually added or improved
  • Fix performance and memory issues: Profile the game, identify bottlenecks, and optimize accordingly
  • Ensure features and bugs are delivered on all platforms: Guarantee the game functions flawlessly across PC, current and past-generation consoles, and other platforms
  • Collaborate with teams: Work cross-functionally with game design, UI, backend programming, and art teams through effective communication and teamwork
  • Mentor junior programmers: Share knowledge, skills, and best practices to contribute to the team's growth
