Requirements

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
Solid experience as a Fullstack Engineer, preferably in a fast-paced startup or technology-focused environment
Proficiency in modern frontend technologies such as JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and frameworks/libraries like React.js, Angular, or Antd
Strong understanding of backend technologies and frameworks – Ruby on Rails is an asset
Experience with server-side development and RESTful APIs
Knowledge of database systems such as PostgreSQL
Familiarity with cloud platforms and services, such as Heroku, AWS, or Google Cloud
Experience working with or integrating AI/ML technologies is a strong plus (e.g., recommendation systems, predictive analytics, data enrichment)
Ability to write clean, modular, and maintainable code with a focus on best practices

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain features for Placements.io’s advertising technology platform, covering both frontend and backend components
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications
Build efficient, scalable, and secure code following best practices and coding standards
Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and bugs to ensure optimal system performance and stability
Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality, provide feedback, and encourage knowledge sharing within the team
Conduct thorough testing and debugging of applications to ensure high reliability and user satisfaction
Continuously research and evaluate emerging technologies to propose innovative solutions and improvements to existing systems
Work in an agile development environment, actively participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and other team activities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as product management and quality assurance, to ensure successful product delivery
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and advancements in web development, including AI/ML applications in software development
