Candidates must be U.S. Citizens with the ability to obtain a government Public Trust security clearance. A Bachelor's degree plus at least 7 years of experience supporting Java applications with the Spring framework is required, along with experience in solution architecture, cloud-based solutions, and Agile Scrum environments using tools like Jira. Seven or more years of experience with Angular and/or JavaScript, 5+ years with CI/CD and DevOps tools (Git, Terraform, Jenkins, Ansible, Nexus, Maven), 7+ years with Spring Boot, and 7+ years writing SQL and working with relational databases are essential. Experience with PKI, TLS/SSL, writing automated unit tests with JUnit, designing secure solutions compliant with FISMA and NIST standards, developing memory-efficient applications, configuration/release management, and integrating with federal IT systems is also necessary. The ability to translate business requirements into code, collaborate effectively, understand complex business processes, research and solve problems, quickly learn new technologies, and possess good communication skills are also required. Experience in a remote environment and a passion for solving complex software challenges are preferred.
The Senior Java Developer/Team Lead will participate in Agile ceremonies, update Jira tasks daily, and contribute to continuous improvement. They will collaborate with team members and stakeholders to design, develop, test, and implement secure solutions, assist other developers with non-production environments and CI/CD pipelines, and troubleshoot complex issues in production and non-production environments, providing Tier III support. The role involves learning new technical skills as needed to support the program and ensuring solutions meet client needs and efficiently utilize system resources.
