Requirements

Candidates should possess a strong understanding of core web technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, along with experience with React, TypeScript, and state management libraries such as Recoil, Redux, or MobX. Familiarity with performance optimization techniques like code splitting and lazy loading is essential, as is knowledge of REST APIs, data handling strategies, and UX/UI principles including responsive design and accessibility standards. Experience with testing frameworks like Jest and Cypress, as well as security and accessibility best practices, is also required. Furthermore, candidates should have experience with tools such as NX, GitHub Actions, monorepos, and micro-frontend architectures.

Responsibilities

The Senior Frontend Software Engineer will be responsible for building and evolving the platform, developing and maintaining the frontend to support complex ML workflows, optimizing user experience through performance monitoring and caching strategies, driving innovation by integrating cutting-edge features like server-side rendering and AI enhancements, collaborating autonomously within a small team, taking full ownership of code from development to production, and continuously learning and sharing knowledge with colleagues. They will also contribute to the development of Plotly, Echart, VTK, Three.js, WebGL, WebGPU, and WebAssembly, ensuring the platform meets the needs of Data Scientists and Simulation Engineers.
