Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance or related discipline
  • CPA or path to becoming a CPA preferred
  • 3-7 years of experience with a public firm or private industrial company; manufacturing experience preferred
  • Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley internal accounting control procedures and processes
  • Inventory and manufacturing cost accounting knowledge preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Report writing applications
  • Data extraction/consolidation experience
  • Prior exposure to an ERP system
  • SQL experience (simple queries and joins) - helpful
  • PowerBI experience - helpful

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain timely, useful financial charts/reports to support analysis and decision making
  • Participate in month-end closing procedures; draft/record journal entries, review account activity, identifying necessary accruals and allocations, and highlighting and understanding unbudgeted financial variations
  • Prepare month-end account reconciliations, proactively rectifying unreconciled transactions
  • Evaluate procurement, labor, and production costs across operational facilities and terminals
  • Prepare and manage customer price sheet processing
  • Analyze logistics costs and analyze monthly trends
  • Sales, margin, and expense analysis and reporting
  • Gather and consolidate data from key stakeholders globally for weekly metric reporting
  • Maintain KPC Global Strategic Initiatives Tracker
  • Participate in the annual budget and quarterly financial forecasting processes
  • Provide audit deliverables and communicate with the internal and external audit teams
  • Perform various financial controls to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley
  • Identify improvements, make recommendations and promote new ideas
  • Promote cross-training within the department and be willing to help coworkers during absences and high-volume events
  • Performs other duties as assigned
