First level university degree with a focus in business or economics; advanced degree or accounting certification (e.g., CPA, MBA) preferred
Typically 6+ years of experience as a financial analyst
Typically experienced in more than one finance function
Excellent understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis, with advanced knowledge in one area
Excellent analytical skills

Responsibilities

Provide business with checked and analyzed financial results
Coordinate flash for OS
Drive the business to focus on forecast accuracy
Support the BU to understand and monitor their commercial and financial performance, providing details required by the business organization
Manage ad-hoc investigations to provide analysis on all financials (funnel / orders / revenues (incl. contra-revenues) / margin) and optimize BU financial performance; proactively warn business on any deteriorating trend
Assist the business to identify growth & margin opportunity and help develop appropriate business plans and associated financial simulations
Drive business behavior to maximize free cash flow: further develop business awareness on FCF, ensure control and follow-up with business on all items impacting cash (payment term, collectability issues)
Assist the BU in their relationship with NWE contacts when dealing with financials, through ad-hoc requests and by participating in BU meetings with NWE
Provide pre-sales financial support as regards deals approvals, around specific contractual terms, P&L simulation or rev rec aspect (in coordination with GRRO)
Contribute to deals governance process to ensure all deals are properly reviewed, with all needed information/approval and appropriate documentation for records (checklist / signed contract)
Maintain/reinforce within sales community the knowledge/sensibility around process associated to deals negotiation (one shot support, training, communications)
Maintain coordination Infrastructure/Services on Greenlake deals: rules, flash impacts
Assist business on specific cases with direct customers to sort out various issues while limiting HPE financial exposure; ensure specific focus on controlling anticipations risk
Be accountable for OS financials accuracy
Ensure control and analysis on revenues bookings, in synch with Order Management teams and in accordance with rev rec rules
Ensure financial controls are in place for all flows specific to each BU (Account reconciliation/SOX/Audit compliance)
Provide to NWE the required deliverables and explanations, in an accurate and timely manner
Be the entry point for EY & internal audit queries
