Requirements

  • Lead implementation and management of comprehensive EHS programs across multi-site campus (Boulder, Louisville, Parker)
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, local regulations and company policies
  • Drive risk reduction through proactive assessment, incident trend analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Provide leadership and development for a team of EHS professionals
  • Expertise in industrial safety, environmental compliance, machine and electrical safety, ergonomic injury prevention, hazardous materials management, and EHS training
  • Collaborate with site leadership, cross-functional teams, and global EHS networks
  • Flexibility to support 24/7 operations, including nights and weekends (100% on-site)
  • Minimal travel (~5%)

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and enforce EHS procedures and programs aligned with regulatory and company requirements, including hazard communication, hazardous materials management, respiratory protection, hearing conservation, lock-out/tag-out, emergency response, confined space, PPE, ergonomic safety, industrial hygiene, material handling, machine safety, hazardous waste, and wastewater management
  • Serve as strategic partner to Colorado Campus Site Leadership Team to drive long-term risk reduction
  • Lead and develop EHS team to implement programs and promote safety culture
  • Measure site performance against EHS Management System requirements; identify and implement corrective actions
  • Manage projects and conduct Kaizen events with Operations teams to drive world-class EHS performance based on identified risks
  • Identify potential threats to worker health and safety; recommend process or material improvements and ensure timely corrective actions
  • Analyze safety metrics and incident trends to allocate resources effectively
  • Promote employee training and awareness on EHS matters to foster accountability and culture of belonging
  • Evaluate regulations for financial, operational, and environmental impact; collaborate with regulatory agencies on compliance
  • Review and improve deployed EHS tools to ensure continuous improvement
  • Monitor workplace safety risks and environmental impacts by observing work processes, equipment, and employee habits
