Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Production, Automotive, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Communication, or Mechatronics engineering
Minimum of 4–7 years in mechanical design, 3D modeling, and drawing release
Expert in Creo (2000+ hours preferred), working knowledge of SolidWorks, UG (Unigraphics NX), and CATIA
Strong expertise in ISO GPS, drawing interpretation, and Microsoft Office tools
Experience in casting design and manufacturing processes; understanding of casting–machining relationships
Familiar with tooling, pattern making, and casting methods (sand, permanent mold, investment)
Knowledge of turbocharger components is a plus
Exposure to iron casting technology, tooling, and international standards
Good knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials
Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills

Responsibilities

Execute engineering design tasks (3D/2D modeling, drawings, documentation) using CAD tools like Creo, SolidWorks, CATIA, NX, AutoCAD, etc
Develop and adapt design concepts using advanced CAD tools based on customer and engineering input
Create accurate 2D drawings and 3D models, including assemblies, layouts, and stack-ups
Apply ISO Geometrical Product Specifications (ISO GPS) per automotive standards; convert legacy 2D drawings to 3D models
Collaborate with global engineering teams and customers to support design-related activities and ensure alignment with project goals
Create and update Assembly Bills of Materials (BOMs) to maintain accurate product structures
Utilize Product Data Management (PDM) tools like Teamcenter for efficient document and data management
Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure timely project delivery
Maintain and improve design standards, work instructions, and drafting practices
Ensure compliance with BorgWarner standards, confidentiality, and quality systems
Mentor peers; review and check drawings to meet FTR (First Time Right) targets
Perform basic analysis using CAD layouts, stack-ups, and FEA tools
Participate in safety audits
Demonstrate creativity, strong understanding of manufacturing processes, and tolerance management
Foster team collaboration and take initiative on challenging tasks
