Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering (or related discipline)
  • 2+ years of relevant engineering experience

Responsibilities

  • Support and sustain existing medical devices throughout their lifecycle, resolving product issues, implementing design improvements, and driving cost and reliability enhancements
  • Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions (NCs, CAPAs) to address quality or manufacturing challenges quickly and effectively
  • Collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, and Supply Chain teams to ensure design changes are implemented seamlessly
  • Partner with external suppliers and contract manufacturers to qualify alternate components, manage obsolescence, and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Apply sound engineering principles, including DFM, DFMEA, and PFMEA, to ensure designs are robust, manufacturable, and compliant with regulatory standards
  • Author and maintain engineering documentation such as design history files, risk management records, and change control reports per the Quality Management System
  • Support production and lab investigations, applying hands-on testing and troubleshooting to solve problems on the floor
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost reduction, process optimization, and product reliability
