Requirements

Strong technical engineering knowledge, including MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) related works
Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships with internal teams (surveyors, portfolio, brand teams, ESG, H&S), external consultants, manufacturers, surveying teams, service partners, investment stakeholders, and customers
Experience in engineering oversight of life cycle replacement, budget compilation, advising, and review
Ability to lead project teams for execution of engineering works
Capability to manage external consultants and service partners on a job-by-job basis
Flexibility for out-of-hours work, including witnessing commissioning
Mentoring and escalation support skills for engineering technicians
Proactive approach in a highly technical forum blending engineering excellence with collaboration

Responsibilities

Provide support and guidance on all Engineering issues, including Licences to Alter, Life cycle replacement, feasibility, energy management, statutory requirements, Landsec specifications and guidance for external customers
Ensure fit outs are thoroughly reviewed and tracked, in conjunction with the Engineering Technician, ensuring commissioning documentation is in line with requirements, and witness where required (at times out of hours)
Lead fit out pre-start meetings to ensure Operations teams are supported as demised works begins
Provide a proactive escalation point for all customer fit outs, regularly visiting sites to ensure works are proceeding as approved
Project by project liaison with internal and external insurers for design approval of life safety systems and risks
Day to day liaison with external consultants engaged in Surveying and Engineering services
Assist in the management of the framework of external contractors involved on PPM & LCR (lifecycle replacement) contract
Support and liaise with Portfolio Project team if engineering issues are beyond the technical ability of the Operations team
Bring to the attention of the Portfolio, Operations and Development teams any outstanding works or engineering rectifications needed to facilitate Customers’ or landlords’ works
Maintain personal contact with customers and act as point of contact and reference for all stakeholders on engineering matters
Assist as needed in the review and approval of design for fit out works on FRI (Full Repair and Insure), Managed or new assets
