Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s a plus)
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • 7+ years of electrical engineering experience, with at least 3+ years focused on hospitals or major healthcare facilities
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare codes and standards (NEC, NFPA 70, NFPA 99, NFPA 101)
  • Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, and electrical modeling software preferred
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interface with clients
  • Proven ability to lead and manage complex projects from concept through completion

Responsibilities

  • Lead electrical engineering design for large healthcare facility projects (hospitals, medical centers, major healthcare campuses)
  • Develop power distribution, lighting, emergency power, and low-voltage system designs
  • Ensure compliance with NFPA, NEC, Joint Commission, and healthcare-specific codes
  • Coordinate with architects, mechanical engineers, and other stakeholders
  • Mentor junior engineers and review design deliverables
  • Conduct site visits, inspections, and support project commissioning
  • Collaborate with clients during planning, design, and project execution
