  • Strategic and operational leadership experience in Environmental, Health, & Safety programs
  • Expertise across all EHS domains, including environmental compliance (e.g., air emissions, wastewater, stormwater permits, hazardous and regulated wastes, EPCRA, SPCC)
  • Ability to serve as subject-matter technical expert for EHS compliance and program execution
  • Experience driving Safety and Environmental compliance programs
  • Knowledge of ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 standards
  • Skills in data analytics for identifying trends and data-informed decision-making
  • Proficiency in root cause analysis methodologies for incident investigations and CAPAs
  • Experience with Management of Change (MOC) processes
  • Expertise in Industrial Hygiene, including exposure control programs (IH sampling, respiratory protection, hearing conservation, bloodborne pathogens, radiation, freezer/cryogen)

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic EHS and Risk Control plan for all Lansing Operations
  • Own and provide oversight and governance of multi-site level EHS programs, focusing on environmental domains (air emission permits, wastewater, stormwater, hazardous and regulated waste, EPCRA, SPCC compliance)
  • Act as a strategic partner to the EHS Governance function, integrating EHS into lab operations, manufacturing processes, and high-risk activities
  • Serve as a trusted EHS advisor to site senior leadership and cross-functional teams on risk management and regulatory compliance
  • Collaborate with Facilities & Engineering during capital projects and manufacturing operations to integrate EHS into site operations and project planning
  • Lead the development and deployment of innovative EHS solutions using data analytics
  • Oversee the management of change (MOC) process for operational and infrastructure changes
  • Develop and maintain site-specific environmental management plans, ensuring timely reporting, permitting, and compliance
  • Lead investigations into complex environmental and safety incidents, implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs)
  • Implement global EHS standards and deliver compliance strategies for Safety & Environmental needs
  • Drive Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for assigned programs aligned with ISO 45001 & ISO 14001
  • Launch and audit Neogen Global Exposure Control programs (IH sampling, respiratory protection, hearing conservation, bloodborne pathogens, radiation, freezer/cryogen)
  • Own the EHS framework, including self-audit and corporate audit programs
  • Stand up ergonomics program across all Lansing operations, aligning with stakeholders (Engineering, Maintenance & Operations) to mitigate musculoskeletal disorder risks
