Requirements

6+ years of database administration experience and associated teams in a 24x7x365 environment
Strong knowledge of OLTP systems, Database Administration, Data Warehousing, backup/recovery, and database replication
Proficiency with Oracle RDBMS, Cassandra, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and cloud-native databases such as Snowflake or Redshift
Hands-on experience with Goldengate Replication
Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet) and automation frameworks
Experience with AWS database services (RDS, Aurora) is preferred
Deep understanding of RDBMS internals, SQL performance tuning, and schema design
Expertise in Cassandra and Oracle or Postgres database Administrations
Experience with Cassandra and Oracle RAC or PostgreSQL clustering
Strong knowledge of backup, recovery, and disaster recovery techniques
Familiarity with AWS, automation, and observability technologies
Proven ability to design and implement production-grade database systems
Good experience on shell or python scripting
Software Knowledge: Atlassian or similar work planning and management software. Ability to use Google or Microsoft Office suites
Soft Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Demonstrated ability to mentor peers, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and operate effectively in fast-paced environments
Preferred: Experience within FinTech
Preferred: Familiarity with PCI, SOC2, and NYDFS audits and requirements
Preferred: Experience with Puppet, Ansible and Terraform or similar IAC technologies
Preferred: Knowledge and Experience with AWS Cloud
