Requirements

  • 6+ years of database administration experience and associated teams in a 24x7x365 environment
  • Strong knowledge of OLTP systems, Database Administration, Data Warehousing, backup/recovery, and database replication
  • Proficiency with Oracle RDBMS, Cassandra, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and cloud-native databases such as Snowflake or Redshift
  • Hands-on experience with Goldengate Replication
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet) and automation frameworks
  • Experience with AWS database services (RDS, Aurora) is preferred
  • Deep understanding of RDBMS internals, SQL performance tuning, and schema design
  • Expertise in Cassandra and Oracle or Postgres database Administrations
  • Experience with Cassandra and Oracle RAC or PostgreSQL clustering
  • Strong knowledge of backup, recovery, and disaster recovery techniques
  • Familiarity with AWS, automation, and observability technologies
  • Proven ability to design and implement production-grade database systems
  • Good experience on shell or python scripting
  • Software Knowledge: Atlassian or similar work planning and management software. Ability to use Google or Microsoft Office suites
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Demonstrated ability to mentor peers, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and operate effectively in fast-paced environments
  • Preferred: Experience within FinTech
  • Preferred: Familiarity with PCI, SOC2, and NYDFS audits and requirements
  • Preferred: Experience with Puppet, Ansible and Terraform or similar IAC technologies
  • Preferred: Knowledge and Experience with AWS Cloud
