Responsibilities

  • Ensure associates receive learning and development opportunities (e.g., training, mentoring) for associate and Walmart benefit
  • Coach team members and provide feedback to enhance skills, knowledge, and performance
  • Mentor less-experienced associates, managers, and directors
  • Review alignment of roadmaps and project/program plans across highly complex category/business areas to meet unit/function objectives
  • Communicate category/business area and unit/function objectives, ensuring project teams understand project/program support
  • Work with cross-category/cross-functional leadership to confirm and operationalize project/program management best practices/tools
  • Oversee development of processes/procedures across highly complex categories/business areas for strategic alignment
  • Oversee implementation of project/program plans and timelines, ensuring alignment across categories/business areas and with strategic objectives
  • Oversee coordinated implementation of roadmaps and project/program plans across highly complex categories or multiple business areas
  • Establish quality control requirements/processes and assess performance to ensure business objectives are met
  • Serve as highest point of escalation for conflict resolutions and scope creep concerns
  • Manage highly complex cross-functional stakeholder needs and serve as reference for less complex needs
  • Approve and ensure integration of changes in project scope, identification of issues, and development of contingency plans across categories/business areas
