Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in technical field required (Master’s or MBA preferred)
  • 10+ years of Manufacturing or Operations Experience
  • 10+ years of people management experience
  • Bilingual (Spanish & English)
  • Medical Device experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Quality Assurance, cGMP’s, Safety and Environmental requirements, facilities, maintenance, finance, and human resources planning and development
  • Ability to interact effectively with business leaders at regional and corporate levels, maintain external alliances with government representatives, other organizations and associations to comply with business needs, goals, and objectives
  • Up to 25% travel domestic & international
  • Must be based in or willing to relocate to El Paso, Texas or Juarez, Mexico

Responsibilities

  • Directs plant operations through implementation of established policies and procedures
  • Manages a manufacturing network, maximizing quality, service, talent development and safety, occupational health, and environmental compliance
  • Accountable to align all operations departments to achieve business goals
  • Manages resources to ensure that plant personnel can meet Quality, Safety, Environmental, and Occupational Health requirements
  • Provides development opportunities for plant staff
  • Partners with HR and ERLR managing the relationship with local Union
  • Participates in the annual CBA negotiation
  • Ensures skilled resources are hired and retained
  • Ensures that team and organization follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable
  • Performs other duties assigned as needed
