Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in design, or related field (or suitable combination of education, experience and training)
  • 4+ years of experience designing and developing innovative footwear and other products (preferred)
  • Ability to apply design skills such as drawing/sketching, ideation, visual presentation development and layout
  • Passion for Culture, Music, Art, Sneakers, Streetwear
  • Strong Photoshop, Illustrator skills
  • Ability to create accurate 2D technical drawings (tech packs)
  • Strong sketching, illustration, and rendering skills
  • Good knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials
  • Ability to generate a broad range of concepts and solutions for each project
  • Experienced with presentation programs: Keynote, PowerPoint, Acrobat, etc
  • Positive personality and energy
  • Contribute and align to shared team culture and behaviors
  • Cobbling and prototyping skills (a plus)
  • 3D knowledge and AI experience (a plus)
  • Experience in technical footwear design (a plus)
  • 3D design programs experience (a plus)

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with design management to gain experience, enhance design skills and increase knowledge of Nike's design philosophy, products and processes
  • Partner with category team members in design, development and merchandising to ensure feasibility of designs, meeting price point, merchandising needs and product creation timelines
  • Report to the Director, NSW Energy Footwear Product Design
  • Work on designs that push the possibilities of sports and culture through footwear
  • Explore new opportunities, take risks, and change the game
  • Engage with project teammates on researching, gaining insights, problem solving around performance and manufacturing, working with consumers and creating a vast range of creative and beautiful solutions that are sustainable and considerate of cost
  • Participate and present work in informal and formal reviews
  • Collaborate and engage innovation partners and consumers
