Candidates must possess a Master's or Doctorate Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience with large-scale data analysis. A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is required, along with solid understanding of the FMCG industry and RMS systems/products. Experience in product research, design, and implementation is necessary, as is comfort in designing solutions and supporting team execution. Critical and innovative thinking, strong analytical skills focused on experimentation and hypothesis testing, and the ability to support others in applying advanced technical principles are essential. Domain expertise in programming, statistical analysis/machine learning/deep learning, time series, or sampling is required. Proficiency in Python programming and working with large-scale databases such as SQL, Hadoop, or pySpark is mandatory. Experience with Azure, DataBricks, and CI/CD is a plus. The ability to work in a virtual environment and familiarity with Git processes are also required. Strong communication, presentation, and collaboration skills are crucial.
The Senior Data Scientist will research and develop new methodologies, research directions, and quantify their improvements. They will deliver methodological enhancements to improve quality and gain process efficiencies. Responsibilities include working closely with technology teams, other Data Science teams, and internal stakeholders during the development and deployment of new methodologies. The role involves prototyping and supporting pilot programs to drive innovation. The Senior Data Scientist will own and maintain Data Science global methodologies, ensuring they are well-documented and understood. They will also engage and motivate the team to seek further understanding of data and methods, and review project progress and Proofs of Concept (PoCs), proposing improvements and constructive critiques.
