Requirements

Candidates should possess a quantitative academic background in fields such as Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or Physics, with an advanced degree preferred. They must have over 8 years of experience in an analytical role, including customer-facing experience and strong knowledge of relational databases like SQL. Proficiency in at least one programming language, preferably Python, and experience with team development tools such as Git and notebooks are essential. Proven experience in building scalable data and analytics products from design to deployment, a strong understanding of statistical distributions for pattern identification, and excellent communication skills for influencing decisions are also required. A high tolerance for ambiguity and experience in fast-paced environments are necessary.

Responsibilities

The Senior Data Scientist will lead the implementation of advanced analytics products for customers, enabling them to uncover insights from complex blockchain data, assess DeFi service risks, and analyze crypto trends. They will also lead the roadmap and prioritization of the analytics customer products suite based on market demands. This role involves collaborating with go-to-market teams and customers to understand challenges and translate them into impactful models and products. Responsibilities include developing complex statistical analyses, algorithms, and visualizations to detect new threat vectors unique to cryptocurrencies, and collaborating with engineers and research scientists to design algorithms for analyzing complex blockchain data structures. The role also entails establishing best practices and statistical rigor around data-driven decision-making and communicating findings to diverse stakeholders.
