Requirements
- BS or MS degree in a quantitative discipline such as data science, data analytics, computer science, engineering, statistics, mathematics, finance, or other related degree
- Overall experience of 7+ years of professional experience
- 5+ years of experience in developing ML/AI solutions and business intelligence
- Proficient in SQL and Python
- Experience with cloud computing and dashboard design
- Prior experience in defining and implementing quality metrics, performing root cause analysis of data quality problems, and developing algorithms as well as ML/AI models to address data quality issues
- Experience applying machine learning and analytics techniques on large sets of diverse data from IoT-connected assets
Responsibilities
- Drive, design, and maintain AI & Machine Learning models & solutions
- Provide analytics support to high profile Helios Data Division Projects
- Use analytics methods to make recommendations to Designers, Product Owners, and Managers
- Work independently without close supervision on medium to high-complexity projects
- Work on 2-3 projects concurrently
- Contribute to the design, solution development, strategy & solution development
- Perform all programming, project management, and development assignments without close supervision, focusing on complex aspects of systems work
- Work directly on complex application/technical problem identification and resolution, including responding to off-shift and weekend support calls
- Work independently on complex systems or infrastructure components that may be used by one or more applications or systems
- Drive application development focused on delivering business valuable features
- Mentor and assist data scientists, providing technical assistance and direction as needed
- Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits
- Identify and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team
- Guide the team to develop structured application/interface code, new program documentation, operations documentation, and user guides
- Communicate with end users and internal customers to help direct the development, debugging, and testing of application software for accuracy, integrity, interoperability, and completeness
- Perform integrated testing and customer acceptance testing of components requiring careful planning and execution
- Perform other job duties as assigned by Caterpillar management
