Requirements

5+ years experience in a B2B or B2C SaaS as a data scientist
Fluent in both written and spoken English
Advanced proficiency in Python for data manipulation, modeling, and visualization
Strong understanding of statistical modeling, predictive modeling techniques, and machine learning algorithms (e.g., regression, classification, clustering, ensemble methods)
Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Strong self-organizational skills to manage participation in multiple data science initiatives
Experience with LLM-based applications in Python, including the development of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and with cloud platforms (preferably AWS and AWS SageMaker), for data storage, processing, and machine learning deployment is highly beneficial

Responsibilities

Lead the data science team and drive data-driven decision-making across the organization
Develop ML algorithms embedded into Vendavo products
Leverage expertise in data science to drive innovative solutions for cutting-edge problems within the pricing domain
Work closely with cross-functional teams and existing Vendavo customers to drive analysis of large datasets, research, and development of machine learning models
Participate in the development and implementation of innovative data science solutions that impact Vendavo’s product offerings and strategic decisions, including building advanced predictive models, optimization algorithms, GenAI, and driving AI/ML adoption
Work closely with product, engineering, and business teams
Utilize the latest tools and techniques in data science, machine learning, and GenAI, including cloud-based platforms, big data processing, and AI-driven automation
Help define the data science vision, strategy, and roadmap for the organization, identifying high-impact opportunities in areas like pricing strategies and customer analytics
