Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in a B2B or B2C SaaS as a data scientist
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English
  • Advanced proficiency in Python for data manipulation, modeling, and visualization
  • Strong understanding of statistical modeling, predictive modeling techniques, and machine learning algorithms (e.g., regression, classification, clustering, ensemble methods)
  • Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong self-organizational skills to manage participation in multiple data science initiatives
  • Experience with LLM-based applications in Python, including the development of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and with cloud platforms (preferably AWS and AWS SageMaker), for data storage, processing, and machine learning deployment is highly beneficial

Responsibilities

  • Lead the data science team and drive data-driven decision-making across the organization
  • Develop ML algorithms embedded into Vendavo products
  • Leverage expertise in data science to drive innovative solutions for cutting-edge problems within the pricing domain
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams and existing Vendavo customers to drive analysis of large datasets, research, and development of machine learning models
  • Participate in the development and implementation of innovative data science solutions that impact Vendavo’s product offerings and strategic decisions, including building advanced predictive models, optimization algorithms, GenAI, and driving AI/ML adoption
  • Work closely with product, engineering, and business teams
  • Utilize the latest tools and techniques in data science, machine learning, and GenAI, including cloud-based platforms, big data processing, and AI-driven automation
  • Help define the data science vision, strategy, and roadmap for the organization, identifying high-impact opportunities in areas like pricing strategies and customer analytics
