Requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with over 5 years of experience in data engineering, specifically with Databricks and Python. Advanced proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and ETL frameworks is required, along with excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills. Experience with cloud-based environments and implementing medallion architecture is essential. A high-speed DSL or cable modem for home office use is mandatory, with a minimum speed of 25mbps download and 10mbps upload, and satellite or wireless internet is not permitted.

Responsibilities

The Senior Data Engineer will design, build, and maintain data processing architectures and solutions, ingesting data from various sources using cloud-native platforms and software development best practices. They will develop software tools leveraging AI, machine learning, and big-data techniques to process data into actionable insights. Key responsibilities include designing and implementing data pipelines and ETL processes using Databricks and Python, architecting and managing data solutions with medallion architecture, and ensuring data quality, integrity, and compliance with security and privacy regulations. The role involves developing and maintaining data lakehouse architectures, monitoring and troubleshooting data workflows, and contributing to data engineering standards, particularly for secure data handling. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data solutions is also a core duty. Occasional travel for training or meetings may be required.
