Candidates should possess at least 2 years of experience with streaming and messaging systems such as Beam, Flink, Spark, Kafka, and/or Pub/Sub, and 5+ years of experience managing enterprise-grade cloud data warehouses like BigQuery, Snowflake, or Databricks using change-data-capture strategies such as Debezium, along with expertise in SQL, Python, and ideally Java.
The Senior Data Engineer will design and build new batch and streaming data pipelines to support analytics, product features, and customer experiences, serve as a technical expert on the Data Platform team mentoring engineers and driving architectural best practices, build for scale and reliability by ensuring robust monitoring and self-healing systems, work hands-on with a modern data stack including Apache Flink, Beam, Airflow, Kubernetes, Google Cloud Storage (GCS), BigQuery, and Datadog, partner closely with data consumers to understand evolving needs and deliver scalable data solutions, contribute to a culture of ownership, quality, and continuous improvement, and participate in an on-call rotation to ensure prompt responses to business-critical alerts.
