Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role
  • Strong proficiency in SQL (complex queries, performance tuning, window functions)
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake (warehouse management, query profiling, caching strategies)
  • Proficiency in Python for scripting, automation, and data manipulation
  • Experience working with BI or analytics teams to design and maintain data models for dashboards or self-service analytics
  • Solid understanding of ETL/ELT best practices, including orchestration tools such as Airflow or Jenkins
  • Familiarity with version control (Git) and collaborative development workflows
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical audiences
  • Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain optimized data models for analytics and reporting use cases in Snowflake for AI and Value Projects
  • Partner with data consumers to translate business needs into performant SQL transformations and reusable datasets
  • Conduct query performance tuning, warehouse optimization, and data partitioning to improve speed and efficiency
  • Develop and automate data quality checks to ensure accuracy, completeness, and reliability
  • Collaborate with backend engineers on ingestion and transformation pipelines, ensuring smooth handoffs between ingestion and modeling layers
  • Contribute to best practices for data governance, documentation, and code reviews within the data engineering organization
  • Write clean, modular, and testable SQL and Python code to support data workflows and automation
