Requirements

5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role
Strong proficiency in SQL (complex queries, performance tuning, window functions)
Hands-on experience with Snowflake (warehouse management, query profiling, caching strategies)
Proficiency in Python for scripting, automation, and data manipulation
Experience working with BI or analytics teams to design and maintain data models for dashboards or self-service analytics
Solid understanding of ETL/ELT best practices, including orchestration tools such as Airflow or Jenkins
Familiarity with version control (Git) and collaborative development workflows
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical audiences
Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain optimized data models for analytics and reporting use cases in Snowflake for AI and Value Projects
Partner with data consumers to translate business needs into performant SQL transformations and reusable datasets
Conduct query performance tuning, warehouse optimization, and data partitioning to improve speed and efficiency
Develop and automate data quality checks to ensure accuracy, completeness, and reliability
Collaborate with backend engineers on ingestion and transformation pipelines, ensuring smooth handoffs between ingestion and modeling layers
Contribute to best practices for data governance, documentation, and code reviews within the data engineering organization
Write clean, modular, and testable SQL and Python code to support data workflows and automation
