Requirements

  • Proven track record of 5+ years experience as a Data Analyst or similar role
  • University degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Quantitative social science, or a comparable subject
  • Strong technical background with advanced SQL skills and programming background, including, but not limited to, Python and Spark
  • Excellent knowledge in coding for data retrieval, exploration and analysis
  • Advanced statistical testing skills
  • Constant drive and tenacity to learn new techniques and tools
  • Understanding of the economics of online platforms and/or online fashion retailers, as well as the commercial KPIs governing their success
  • Strong communication skills to convince technical and non-technical audiences with insights and compelling data-driven storytelling that enables decision-making
  • Enjoy working cross-functionally with great stakeholder management skills to work with different levels of management

Responsibilities

  • Bring a business data-driven analytical approach to the Size & Fit Team: generate hypotheses and test them by performing descriptive, exploratory and quantitative analyses
  • Translate metrics from algorithmic and data products into actionable business insights
  • Identify when a hypothesis requires an experiment, and help create and drive them
  • Act as the connector between the Applied Science team and the Product team
  • Translate Size and Fit benefits to answer complex business questions and identify and measure commercial opportunities
  • Be a reliable partner for the Size & Fit Team on commercial reporting and analytics, and support the Team with more complex analysis
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders from Applied Science, Product, Content and Customer Analytics to drive innovation
  • Incorporate data from different sources within and outside of Zalando to drive projects
