Requirements

  • Deep Business Intelligence expertise, particularly in Power BI (semantic models, datasets, interactive dashboards, DAX/M, row-level security)
  • Strong data engineering skills (SQL, scripting in PowerShell/Python, APIs including REST/Graph)
  • Experience with operational data sources such as ServiceNow/Jira, Microsoft 365, Intune/Endpoint analytics, SCCM/MECM, Azure Log Analytics
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and ability to translate data into actionable insights and recommendations
  • Passion for data-driven decision-making in end-user IT services (Service Desk, Deskside/Field, EUC engineering, collaboration, device management)
  • Hands-on analytics leadership blending data engineering, visualization, and storytelling

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver BI solutions: Build scalable Power BI semantic models, datasets, and interactive dashboards providing real-time visibility into ticket volumes, backlog, MTTR, first-contact resolution, CSAT, SLA adherence, and operational performance across End User Services
  • Operational reporting and standardization: Establish a single, governed reporting framework for SLAs, OLAs, KPIs; produce consistent monthly/quarterly executive and vendor reports with variance analysis and trend diagnostics
  • Data engineering and integration: Create robust data pipelines using SQL and scripting to ingest and transform data from ServiceNow/Jira, Microsoft 365, Intune/Endpoint analytics, SCCM/MECM, Azure Log Analytics, and other tools via REST/Graph APIs
  • Decision support for front-line IT: Translate findings into practical recommendations to improve front-end IT support (knowledge gaps, training, shift-left, automation, problem management) and track impact
  • Quality, governance, and reliability: Implement data quality checks, documentation, version control; define source-of-truth datasets and KPIs; ensure access, security, and RLS align with policy
  • Self-service enablement: Publish certified datasets, Power BI apps, report templates; coach End User Services teams on using insights
  • Automation and scale: Automate refresh, distribution, alerts (SLA breaches, anomaly detection, thresholds) to reduce manual reporting
  • Executive storytelling: Craft narratives connecting metrics to outcomes (experience, productivity, cost, risk) and present insights to senior leadership
