A minimum of 5 years of experience in data science or analytics roles is required, along with fluency in SQL and solid programming experience in Python. Proficiency in at least one visualization tool like Tableau or QlikView is necessary, as is demonstrable experience with statistics, experimental design, machine learning, and deep learning. Experience analyzing large datasets, preferably in a Hadoop or Spark environment, and deploying production-ready systems at scale is essential. Strong written and oral communication skills, the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities, and a passion for gaming are also required.
The Senior Data Analyst will identify and formalize problems to understand user behavior, creating systems and analyses to derive insights that influence the studio's perspective. They will work with large datasets to find opportunities for improving player experience and deliver analytics and data science projects aligned with roadmaps and product goals, balancing actionable insights to improve core game metrics. The role involves driving and empowering game studios to make quantitatively informed decisions by maintaining source of truth data sources and dashboards. They will collaborate closely with game teams to design, test, verify, and implement machine learning models and product features impacting millions of users, and communicate findings to both technical and non-technical peers.
