Degree or equivalent experience desired
Working Knowledge of Finance and Accounting: Works with general ledger accounts, differentiates between capital investments and expenses, uses finance and accounting systems/procedures/practices, interprets profit and loss statements/balance sheets/financial forecasts, resolves questions about finance and accounting policies/practices
Basic Understanding of Risk Management: Identifies major categories of business risks, describes key issues and benefits of risk management practices, describes potential consequences associated with specific examples of business risks, makes use of organization's risk management resources

Responsibilities

Reviews the credit history, profitability and liquidity of clients to assess the risk level involved in credit extension or money lending
Consults with customers to verify financial and credit transactions; responds to customer inquiries and resolves customer complaints
Communicates with credit associations and other relevant authorities about the credit history of customers
Analyzes financial data to determine customers' financial status and the expected profitability of commercial loans; recommends approval or denial of loan applications
Evaluates commercial loan requests by reviewing applicants' credit histories and analyzing financial statements in order to approve or deny loan applications
