Responsibilities

Lead comprehensive cost optimization of AWS and Azure cloud services, infrastructure, and technology spend while maintaining operational efficiency
Analyze AWS and Azure billing data, usage data from asset inventory, and monitoring utilization data to assess cloud consumption, identify wasteful spend, and provide actionable insights
Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in spending and financial performance across all Arkose Labs products
Perform deep-dive investigations of cost overruns and optimization opportunities through data-driven analysis
Develop and maintain cost optimization strategies, roadmaps, and forecasting models
Serve as Subject Matter Expert for designing optimization tactics and creating Infrastructure as Code implementation guidance and script templates
Automate optimization analysis using serverless products on AWS (Lambda, Step Functions, EventBridge) and Azure (Functions, Logic Apps, Event Grid) for repeated analysis, data collection, recommendation generation, and benefit tracking
Create and maintain cost attribution models to specific cost centers and automated reporting dashboards
Implement cloud cost governance frameworks and best practices
Engage with Engineering and Cloud Platform teams to drive optimization implementation
Work closely with engineering teams to understand infrastructure requirements and provide technical recommendations for cost-effective architecture improvements
Collaborate on right-sizing initiatives
