Candidates must possess a minimum of a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience, along with knowledge of Humana's internal policies, procedures, and systems. Strategic thinking, planning capabilities, and strong organizational and detail-oriented skills are essential. Proficiency in data analysis, including understanding and interpreting data, is required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with individuals at all levels, both internally and externally. Enthusiasm, motivation, and the ability to act as a change agent with strong selling and presentation skills are crucial. Healthcare and Medicare experience, along with experience facilitating mixed and indirect matrix teams, is required. The ability to lead project teams, drive implementation, identify process performance gaps, recommend improvements, and work with internal support groups to achieve business results is necessary. Successful completion of an Epic certification exam within 60 days of training is mandatory. Preferred qualifications include working knowledge and experience in risk adjustment and STARS, experience building digital capabilities, demonstrated ability to develop and lead initiatives with influence, strong attention to detail, sound follow-up skills, results-driven orientation, project management skills, and excellent communication abilities.
The Senior Configuration Professional will be responsible for accessing and configuring applications and systems integrated with business processes, data, and IT infrastructure, including building modules, developing tables and reports, and creating complex functions. This role involves advising the business, evaluating requests, implementing new features and changes, troubleshooting, resolving testing issues, configuring processes and experiences, integrating systems, developing interfaces, and maintaining documentation. The professional will begin to influence department strategy and make decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding the technical approach for project components, working without direction and exercising considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches. The role specifically focuses on configuring Humana’s new Care and Utilization Management platform (Epic) and member’s clinical digital engagement via MyChart, supporting the enterprise’s future clinical platform and improving member health outcomes.
