Candidates must possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering, with over 5 years of experience in software development, cloud architecture, or systems engineering, specifically within AWS environments. Essential technical proficiencies include deep expertise in AWS core services like EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch, along with strong programming skills in Python, .NET, or Node.js, particularly for AWS Lambda or containerized workloads. Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as ECS, EKS, and Docker, along with Infrastructure as Code using AWS CloudFormation and Terraform, is required. A solid understanding of AWS networking concepts, including VPC, Subnets, Route Tables, Security Groups, Direct Connect, and VPNs, as well as knowledge of AWS serverless architectures (Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway, SQS, SNS), database skills (RDS, DynamoDB, ElastiCache), and monitoring/logging tools (CloudWatch, AWS X-Ray, CloudTrail, ELK stack) are also necessary.
The Senior Cloud Developer will be responsible for architecting end-to-end solutions using a variety of AWS services, including EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, and ECS/EKS. This role involves aiding in the migration and refactoring of legacy or on-premises applications to leverage AWS-native features such as microservices and serverless computing. The developer will optimize application and infrastructure performance using AWS CloudWatch and Auto Scaling Groups, and implement CI/CD pipelines with AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and CodeDeploy. Additionally, the position requires the use of Infrastructure-as-Code tools like AWS CloudFormation and Terraform, and the prototyping and validation of new AWS services and approaches to address business and technical challenges.
