Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field preferred
6+ years of experience managing Citrix VDAs and infrastructure
5+ years managing Citrix Cloud environments
Demonstrated experience managing both MCS and PVS provisioning technologies
Strong understanding of Active Directory, networking, enterprise storage and hypervisors and how they all tie in together
Experience with creating automation with PowerShell is a plus
6+ years of experience working across various IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues
Strong autonomous attitude – someone who understands what needs to be done and goes and gets it done
Strong ability to take on new technologies and applications with little to no previous experience, and can work successfully with the vendors and business stakeholders
Strong English language, verbal and writing
Previous experience leading a Citrix team is a plus
Previous experience with documentation and knowledge base article composition
Industry certifications are a plus
Responsibilities
Accountable for Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops infrastructure, including maintenance, patching, tuning, health checks, capacity planning, and overall performance of the virtual desktop systems
Act as a subject matter expert for virtual desktops and published apps environments, including connectivity, authentication, hosting, etc
Provide incident response and problem management, including identifying the root cause of system problems and addressing configuration issues that result in operational performance degradation or system outages
Develop and maintain documentation for infrastructure processes and configurations
Serve as an escalation point for Level 2 & 3 support, resolving technical issues such as server/application performance and providing guidance and mentorship to the support team
Work with key business stakeholders to support upgrading existing and/or deploying new IT solutions based on the needs of the business, including gathering requirements, strong communication, and helping to manage bringing together the necessary IT teams in order to ensure successful deployments/upgrades
