Requirements

  • MSEE/MSCE (or equivalent experience), preferably PhD
  • 8+ years of equivalent experience
  • Strong background in analog and mixed signal circuit design
  • Strong theoretical as well as practical knowledge of power converters and its various components
  • Deep system-level understanding of power delivery solutions for SoCs, including thermal constraints, package and board effects, noise requirements, load modeling, etc
  • Proficiency in Matlab/Simulink, industry standard silicon EDA tools (Cadence) and circuit simulators (spice, etc.)
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills and the ability & desire to work as a great teammate

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with other System/Software Architects, Power Integrity /Packaging experts and Product and Process engineers to understand product challenges and quantify energy efficiency improvements of integrated power delivery solutions
  • Break down complex Systems-on-package into simpler and tractable electrical models to identify and assess feasible solutions, and further translate these into a coherent set of voltage regulator features and specifications
  • Investigate innovative solutions addressing packaging, interconnect, physical design, electrical and thermal challenges to provide energy to future products
