10+ years’ experience in composite boat building or advanced composite manufacturing
Proven expertise in resin infusion and structural assembly of large composite parts
Demonstrated ability to lead or mentor others in workshop environments
Strong practical understanding of composite tooling, consumables, and safe workshop practices
Proficient use of hand tools and precision instruments
Deep practical experience with resin infusion, structural bonding, and composite assembly, with a clear understanding of advanced materials and processes

Responsibilities

Advanced composite fabrication – Lead the creation of complex components using resin infusion and pre-preg fabrication methods, ensuring dimensional accuracy and structural integrity
Vessel structural assembly – Lead locating, fitting, bonding, taping, and finishing operations of composite structures while maintaining rigorous quality and alignment with engineering specifications
Process optimisation – Collaborate with engineering and production teams to refine build methods, materials use, and workflow efficiency
Quality assurance – Define and uphold inspection standards, ensuring every part meets Vessev’s high expectations for performance and finish
Team development & mentorship – Support and up-skill junior builders through coaching, technical guidance, and shared problem-solving
Workplace Excellence – Promote a culture of safety, organisation, and professionalism throughout the workshop
