Candidates should have 5+ years of backend engineering experience, focusing on scalable, high-performance systems. Expertise in distributed systems, microservices, and API design using Java, Scala, Python, or Go is required. Experience with real-time data processing, event-driven architectures (Kafka, GCP Pub/Sub, Kinesis), observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Datadog), and A/B testing frameworks is essential. Proven ability to manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure) with Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation tools like Terraform is necessary. Strong problem-solving skills and a focus on building reliable, maintainable, and scalable systems are expected. Experience with OpenRTB and real-time bidding systems is a plus.
Lead the design and architecture of backend services for real-time model inference and bidding decisions on the OpenRTB platform. Collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers to deploy, monitor, and optimize ML models for real-time bidding strategies. Oversee the development of A/B testing frameworks for model and bidding optimization. Ensure backend services are high-performance, low-latency, and scalable, handling millions of bidding events per second. Set best practices for architecture, API design, and distributed systems. Work with cloud infrastructure teams for deployment, scaling, and monitoring using Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines. Implement new features and optimizations in collaboration with product managers. Optimize performance and cost-efficiency of the backend infrastructure. Continuously monitor system performance, conduct post-deployment analysis, and implement improvements based on A/B test results.
