Requirements

Candidates must possess significant knowledge of the crypto industry and be crypto native. A deep understanding of data principles and architecture, gained through a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience, is required. A minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a Backend Engineer is necessary, with a strong focus on backend development and API architecture using Typescript and Node.js or Go. Demonstrated experience building fast API endpoints handling over 1M requests per day and significant experience maintaining and running API endpoints using serverless architecture, including deployment, configuration, and TTFB optimization, are essential. Proficiency in designing and operating API services that elegantly handle large amounts of data is also required.

Responsibilities

The Senior Backend Engineer will be responsible for designing and building backend systems and strategies for data and analytics products. This includes building and shipping backend data structures and APIs for core products, owning, evolving, and maintaining the backend API layer, and proactively identifying and fixing stability and scalability issues. The role involves participating in all aspects of the product development lifecycle, estimating development scope, building specs for system changes, and driving operational efficiency through workflow improvements and task automation. Cross-functional collaboration with Research, Product, and other Engineering teams is expected, along with leading initiatives and program collaborations.
