Requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or have at least 5 years of backend development experience, demonstrating proficiency in at least one backend language such as Node.js, Python, or Go. A deep understanding of distributed systems, database sharding, and cloud platforms is required, along with experience utilizing DevOps tools including CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, and Prometheus/Grafana, and strong knowledge of unit/integration testing frameworks.

Responsibilities

The Senior Backend Development Engineer will be responsible for designing and building scalable, high-availability backend systems using modern technologies, developing robust APIs, integrating with databases and caching systems, optimizing system performance, troubleshooting bottlenecks, implementing security best practices, collaborating with frontend engineers and product managers to define technical requirements, leading architectural decisions, and advocating for microservices and containerization technologies.
