Requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or have equivalent experience. A minimum of 7 years of back-end development experience is required, with at least 2 years in a senior role. Specific experience in the mortgage industry is essential, along with hands-on development expertise in Node, Express, and TypeScript, particularly with frameworks like Nest.js for building REST APIs and services. Strong experience with SQL and some exposure to NoSQL databases are necessary. Familiarity with Microservices, Event-based architecture, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes), caching mechanisms, messaging queues like Kafka, and tools such as Postman and Git/Bitbucket are also required.

Responsibilities

The Senior Backend Developer will design, develop, and maintain high-performance back-end systems, APIs, and databases to support web and mobile applications. They will foster technical excellence and collaboration, working closely with front-end developers, product managers, and DevOps teams for seamless integration. Key responsibilities include architecting scalable, secure, and efficient server-side solutions that meet fintech standards and handle high transaction volumes, implementing best practices for code quality and testing, and staying current with emerging technologies in back-end development, blockchain, and fintech to drive innovation.
