Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
  • Proficiency in software languages and environments, preferably PLC Ladder Logic and/or structured text
  • Ability to design, develop, and debug dedicated hardware and software
  • Experience performing verification and validation activities, including Measurement Systems Analysis (Gage R&R studies)
  • Knowledge of equipment deployment, qualification, and documentation (e.g., IQ/Gage R&R)
  • Ability to develop electromechanical technical solutions to complex problems
  • Compliance with Quality System, environmental, health, and safety rules, policies, or governmental regulations
  • Availability for 100% onsite work at Brooklyn Center, MN manufacturing site

Responsibilities

  • Develop and improve software applications to manufacture batteries utilizing software languages and environments preferably in PLC Ladder Logic and/or structured text
  • Design, develop, and debug dedicated hardware and software, performing verification and validation activities, performing Measurement Systems Analysis (Gage R&R studies); all in support of equipment solution release for production manufacturing of batteries
  • Deploy and qualify equipment, ensuring appropriate documentation is maintained and completed for all technology programs transferred to product line specific areas
  • Support design and qualification of new custom tooling/equipment (Requirements, Procurement, Commissioning, IQ/Gage R&R, Support)
  • Follow software application development procedures and demonstrate compliance through technical documentation generation
  • Develop electromechanical technical solutions to complex problems that require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity
  • Take daily action to ensure key performance metrics are met in production, assess equipment adequacy, and plan/execute continuous improvement upgrades
  • Use process yield and output data to make corrections, solve problems, and support Operations stakeholders
  • Interface with Operations and New Product Development stakeholders (including component design, process development, and quality) for compliant production equipment solutions
  • Leverage site operational technology requirements, integrate software/hardware or manage vendors, and support system releases
  • Embrace a culture of high-quality designs, collaboration, and innovation, working with moderate direction and partnership with senior peers
