Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
- At least 3 years’ hands-on experience with physical security technologies (intrusion alarms, access control, VMS) in IT environments
- At least 1 year experience with networking devices, connectivity protocols: VLANs, TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs, and cloud technologies
- At least 1 year of experience in configuring and maintaining systems
- At least 1 year experience in providing customer-facing technical support, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to collaborate and contribute to team deliverables
- Actively engage with others to build relationships
- Attentive to the customer experience; with strong flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and direction in a dynamic work environment
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment that involves both working independently and collaborating with others
- Knowledgeable of industry security standards and operational requirements
- Familiar with quality assurance, auditing processes, and risk management methodologies
- Certifications in physical security systems (preferred)
Responsibilities
- System Configuration & Management: Maintain and update physical security system configurations using defined procedures to align with enterprise standards and ensure system integrity
- Documentation & Compliance: Produce and maintain accurate, current documentation for configurations, and procedures. Conduct audits to ensure systems meet enterprise security requirements and compliance standards
- Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Provide comprehensive technical support, serving as a Tier 2 escalation point, diagnosing system faults, performing root-cause analysis, and coordinating Tier 3 and vendor support when needed
- Testing & Reporting: Collaborate with Senior Engineers to implement process optimizations and resolve technical challenges, ensuring minimal downtime. Document quality assurance measures that support incident response strategies
- Field Engagement & Training: Travel to new sites for security technology commissioning, and to deliver end-user training on security equipment
