Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in solution architecture, encompassing application development, systems design, network architecture, and systems integration with specific experience in supply chain and logistics technology
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • Microsoft Azure and GCP architecture certifications (preferred)
  • Experience with solution architecture in cloud-native environments (preferred)
  • TOGAF or equivalent enterprise architecture certification (nice to have)
  • Familiarity with architecture governance and FinOps (preferred)
  • Experience leveraging AI/ML for process automation and efficiency (nice to have)
  • Demonstrated ability to rapidly extract and define project scope and requirements, making informed decisions in complex, multi-stakeholder technology environments
  • Strong analytical and consultative skills, with proven expertise in communication, facilitation, and professional business writing
  • Proven ability to balance immediate project needs—including business requirements and strategic objectives—with Enterprise Architecture standards and IT guiding principles to deliver optimal outcomes
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a track record of delivering innovative solutions

Responsibilities

  • Partners with stakeholders to develop solutions aligned with IT and business strategies, focusing on supply chain, logistics, and merchandising to advance business goals and ensure cost efficiency
  • Advises business and IT on architectural options, explaining implications and identifying risks related to component or application implementation
  • Designs and implements solutions that integrate various processes and application systems, ensuring alignment with key functional and non-functional requirements
  • Collaborates with enterprise architects and software engineers to translate business capabilities into a conceptual architecture
  • Engages in business, technology, and architecture planning sessions, anticipating future changes and strategies
  • Evaluates business and application architecture to ensure flexibility for incremental development, maintenance, and future enhancements
  • Provides expert input on significant business processes or capability-altering projects, understanding market positioning and solution value
  • Works with product owners, project teams, solution delivery leads, and business teams to understand business strategies
  • Facilitates solution design review meetings with stakeholders, ensuring solutions support business goals and evaluating budget impacts based on total cost of ownership analyses
  • Uses industry research to enhance the technology environment by comparing internal processes with industry best practices and influencing future industry solutions to fit internal needs
  • Builds and leverages internal and external partnerships to achieve business goals, fostering a customer-focused environment and supporting continuous learning
  • Creates and presents architecture design documents and patterns that incorporate business context, current state system context, future state, security requirements, networking, and disaster recovery
