Requirements

Candidates should have 6+ years of industry professional software development experience and a proven track record of building impactful products or systems. A strong background and proven leadership in mobile development is required, along with experience in mobile testing frameworks and services. Bonus qualifications include experience in payment processing or financial technology, integrating payment SDKs and APIs, familiarity with PCI DSS compliance and other payment industry security standards, experience with various payment methods and related integrations, iOS development experience, and a passion for Lime's mission and micro mobility.

Responsibilities

The Senior Android Engineer will identify, define, and solve strategically essential technical problems within the payments domain, including architecting and building highly scalable foundational payment platforms, leading new payment product initiatives, and revamping core application payment experiences. They will scrutinize and reason clearly about technology and architecture choices for payment systems, lead cross-functional collaboration with PMs, Engineers, Design, Data Scientists, Research, and Operations teams, and mentor and lead other engineers on the team, particularly in best practices for secure and efficient payment implementations. Additionally, they will advise Lime’s leadership team on key technology adoption and process improvements related to payments and financial operations, and contribute to shaping overall engineering culture at the company, with an emphasis on reliability and security in payment development.
