Requirements

Candidates are required to possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent technical expertise, and must have at least 5 years of hands-on, professional software development experience developing user-facing Android mobile native applications at scale, using Java or Kotlin. They should be strategic thinkers who thrive on developing a long-term technical foundation and have a passion for developing scalable, well-designed software that improves people’s lives globally, along with a track record of leading large projects that require cross-team and cross-functional collaborations.

Responsibilities

The Senior Android Engineer will build new and more powerful safety experiences and reporting tools, work cross-functionally with product, design, and other engineering counterparts to execute on product and business strategy and build novel products and features, contribute to the full development cycle including technical design, development, test, experimentation, analysis, and launch, continuously learn and improve their technical and non-technical abilities, communicate effectively within the team and across disciplines, participate in product reviews and team meetings, providing technical insight, foster a healthy engineering culture and collaborate with other engineers, and help scope, estimate, and prioritize between conflicting needs.
