Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (ideally Bachelor’s degree in Accounting)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or financial reporting, with focus on German GAAP and IFRS
  • Strong experience in the preparation of financial statements and related reporting
  • Deep knowledge of German GAAP, IFRS, and local regulatory requirements
  • Proven ability to manage financial deadlines and reporting timelines effectively
  • Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software/systems (ideally NetSuite)
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams

Responsibilities

  • Prepare/review monthly the reporting of our European entities in accordance with IFRS
  • Prepare the annual financial statements in accordance with local GAAP (mainly German GAAP and IFRS)
  • Monitor the deadlines of local filing requirements to ensure local compliance
  • Assist with audits and liaise with external auditors when needed
  • Assist with tax filings and liaise with the tax advisors
  • Support external service providers in the preparation of financial statements under local GAAP
  • File local statistical and non-statistical reports, ensuring adherence to local filing deadlines
  • Maintain accurate financial records
  • Provide responsibility and support for all other companies of the Altium Sub-Group in EMEA
