Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
CPA or CPA eligibility preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in real estate or a related industry
Strong understanding of GAAP, specifically related to real estate accounting and lease administration
Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; JD Edwards and Yardi experience a plus
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

Oversee daily treasury functions, including cash flow monitoring, management, and forecasting
Prepare cash flow projections to ensure liquidity and meet operational needs
Prepare funding requests and distributions to investors as needed
Collaborate with the finance team to manage capital calls and returns
Draft and review standard reference requests for new ACH/wire relationships
Ensure all ACH/wire payments comply with company policies and banking regulations
Review AR aging reports regularly to assess the collectability of outstanding balances
Recommend and implement write-offs or reserves based on the assessment
Oversee accounts payable functions including issuing checks, setting up wire/ACH payments, and managing vendor relationships
Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor files and assist with any vendor inquiries
Manage the lease administration process, ensuring proper accounting treatment per GAAP or other relevant accounting standards
Handle lease accounting for complex leases, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close processes
Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory standards
