Senior Accountant

Position Overview

Maven is seeking a highly motivated individual with a background in public or corporate accounting to join our team as a Senior Accountant. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to building finance functions, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and play a key role in scaling the accounting team within a high-growth environment.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Accountant at Maven, you will:

• Support the month-end close process, including closing entries, account reconciliations, and analysis.
• Review and prepare balance sheet reconciliations.
• Maintain detailed and accurate supporting workpapers.
• Oversee operations for expense reimbursements and business purchasing programs.
• Assist with tax filings and payments necessary for compliance.
• Act as an accounting business partner for various cross-functional departments across the organization.
• Provide support with audit requests and deliverables.
• Assist in building out operating procedures and controls to support the company’s growth.
• Identify opportunities to increase efficiency through process improvements, automation, etc.
• Perform other special projects as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent.
• CPA or working towards CPA.
• Minimum of three years of progressive work experience.
• Proficiency with advanced formulas in Microsoft Excel and Google Suite applications.
• Self-motivated with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, with a sharp focus on details.
• Ability and desire to build and cultivate strong relationships with team members and internal stakeholders.

Preferred Requirements:

• Experience in telehealth or a high-growth startup.
• Experience using Oracle NetSuite and/or Zip P2P.
• Big 4 accounting experience.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary Range: $98,000 - $115,000 per year.
• Additional Compensation: Eligible to receive stock options.
• Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package included.

• Location Type: Flexible hybrid work model.
