Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum 6 years of accounting experience, preferably in real estate or property management
  • Strong proficiency in Yardi (required)
  • Solid understanding of CAM reconciliations and property accounting principles
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical ability
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • CPA designation or progress toward CPA is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle accounting for multiple properties, including journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and month-end close
  • Prepare and review CAM (Common Area Maintenance) reconciliations and tenant billings
  • Perform monthly and quarterly financial reporting, including variance analysis and supporting schedules
  • Ensure accuracy of property-level financial statements and compliance with GAAP
  • Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheets, and intercompany accounts
  • Manage and analyze property budgets, forecasts, and operating expenses
  • Collaborate with property managers, asset managers, and external auditors
  • Maintain accounting data and reporting within Yardi Voyager (or other Yardi systems)
  • Support annual audit and tax preparation processes
