Requirements

Candidates should possess 2+ years of relevant accounting experience, with Big 4 experience being preferred, and a CPA license or progress towards obtaining one. Strong accounting knowledge and understanding of GAAP are required, along with proficiency in Excel, including skills such as Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and Sumifs. Analytical skills and the ability to work with large datasets are also necessary, as is the capacity to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks concurrently, coupled with excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail, and clear communication skills. Prior experience in e-commerce or CPG is considered a plus.

Responsibilities

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for monthly financial closing activities, including procedures, journal entries, and account reconciliations, supporting the annual audit process, leading accounting tasks for cash, debt, accruals, and other accounts, contributing to department and organization special projects, creating best practice procedures for accounting activities, recommending process improvements, and helping implement internal controls through policies and procedures.
